Control Resonant becomes Remedy's biggest Steam launch to date

Remedy Entertainment's Control Resonant debuted atop Steam's sales chart and remained in the top 10 days after its September 24 launch, according to SteamDB. Its peak concurrent player count of roughly 42,799 is about four times higher than Control Ultimate Edition's peak of 9,193, and the game holds a 'Very Positive' rating near 4,000 reviews. It has also placed among PS5's top 10 sellers in 20 territories.

Nvidia releases RTX Mega Geometry 2.0 SDK with VRAM streaming for ray tracing

Nvidia has released version 2.0 of its RTX Mega Geometry SDK, which now streams high-density mesh geometry into VRAM on demand rather than requiring an entire scene's geometry to fit in memory at once. When a scene exceeds a set VRAM budget, the system reduces detail rather than repeatedly swapping data in and out of memory. The SDK, part of Nvidia's RTX Kit toolset, is available now on GitHub alongside the RTX Kit 2026.3 release.
