Two Intel processors, the Core Ultra 7 270K Plus and Core i7-14700K, have entered Amazon's top-10 best-selling desktop CPU list for the first time in over a year, landing at #6 and #9. AMD still dominates the rankings with Ryzen 9000, 7000, and 5000 series chips filling the remaining eight spots, led by the Ryzen 7 9800X3D.
Xiaomi's new Xring O3 processor scored 3,945 in Geekbench single-core and 15,221 in multi-core tests, putting it roughly on par with Apple's silicon on single-threaded work but far ahead on multithreaded tasks. The chip packs 44MB of cache, more than most laptop CPUs, and its top C1-Ultra cores feature 21 execution ports with SME2 and SVE2 support for AI and SIMD workloads.

A hands-on comparison finds that liquid coolers, such as NZXT's Kraken 360mm AIO, deliver superior thermal performance for high-end CPUs like AMD's Ryzen 7 9800X3D, enabling demanding 4K/120FPS gaming without overheating. However, the piece notes these coolers cost upwards of $200, are harder to install, and require more long-term maintenance than air coolers, which remain the practical choice for mid-range builds.
Amazon is currently selling the Asus Prime AMD Radeon RX 9070 OC Edition for $629.99, down 16% from its usual $750 price. The card runs on AMD's RDNA 4 architecture with 16GB of GDDR6 memory, 56 Compute Units, and a factory overclock reaching up to 2,610 MHz boost clock, delivering performance comparable to Nvidia's RTX 4070 Ti Super.
