Best Buy is selling the Bambu Lab P1S 3D printer bundled with its AMS color-printing module for $479.99, down $70 from the usual $549.99 price. The enclosed printer supports high-speed printing up to 20,000 mm/s² acceleration and a 256 x 256 x 256 mm build volume, while the AMS unit enables multicolor printing with up to four colors, expandable to 16 with additional units.

Engineer builds Meta Quest 3 to Bambu Lab P2S pipeline for gesture-based 3D printing

Software engineer Hank built a system letting him model a 3D object on his computer, then physically throw it toward his Bambu Lab P2S printer using a Meta Quest 3 headset to trigger the print. The workflow was built with help from an OpenAI GPT model and connects an Android app to a PC web server that talks to the printer's local API. Hank hasn't published the code yet but says he'll share it if there's enough interest.
