GoKawiilAnitaB.org cancels Grace Hopper Celebration two weeks before Anaheim event
AnitaB.org has called off this year's Grace Hopper Celebration, scheduled for Oct. 27-30 in Anaheim, citing registrations and sponsorship commitments that fell well below expectations and left the event unable to cover operating costs. CEO Brenda Darden Wilkerson said the shortfall has also damaged the nonprofit's broader finances, and the organization is now reviewing strategic options and future programming. Attendees must cancel their own travel, refund status for fees and sponsorships remains unresolved, and employers with career-fair interviews have been asked to continue them independently where possible.
