Samsung has pushed a sixth One UI 9 beta to Galaxy S26 devices, an 851MB update carrying the August 5, 2026 security patch under firmware ZZHE. It fixes display glitches affecting the Now Brief widget, home screen, and camera widgets, plus a photo-saving bug in Expert RAW 24MP mode at certain focal lengths. The update is currently rolling out in Germany, India, Poland, the UK, and South Korea, with US availability expected soon.
Google has started rolling out Motion Assist, a new Android 17 feature that displays motion cues on screen to help reduce motion sickness while using a phone in a moving vehicle. The feature, previously tested internally as Motion Cues, is appearing gradually on Pixel devices, with some units already showing it while others on the same Android version do not yet have it.
Lenovo published a list of Motorola devices eligible for the Android 17 update, but it left out several recent phones including the Edge 50 series, Edge 60 Neo, Razr 2024, Moto G56 5G, and Moto G75 5G. Oddly, the list also references unreleased models like the Edge 70 Neo and Edge 70 Plus, and contains duplicate entries for the Edge 60.
