CERN's BASE team transports trapped antiprotons by truck for first time

Researchers from the BASE Collaboration at CERN sealed 92 antiprotons inside a specialized ultrahigh-vacuum trap, then drove them 7.5 kilometers around the lab's grounds without losing them. BESIII experiment uses antimatter entanglement to measure rare lambda hyperon decay

The BESIII Collaboration measured the decay of lambda hyperons, in which a strange quark converts into an up quark, by exploiting quantum entanglement between the particle and its antimatter counterpart to 'tag' the event. This technique allowed them to determine a decay parameter that had eluded precise measurement for 35 years, and their result matches predictions from established physics theory.
