Fan fiction site Archive of Our Own went offline on October 29 for what admins called a security incident, with full restoration potentially taking up to four weeks. The Organization for Transformative Works, which runs the nonprofit site, said it does not believe its user database was stolen but advised the platform's 11 million users to change their passwords as a precaution.
