A roundup identifies five Spotify settings—covering audio quality, content recommendations, and privacy—that remain in default states for many users but can noticeably change the listening experience. Most of these options are limited to Spotify Premium subscribers and can be adjusted through the app's settings and privacy menu on mobile or desktop.
Android Authority identified an in-development update to Google Messages, found in version messages.android_20261020_00_RC00.phone.openbeta_dynamic, that reorganizes the app's single long settings list into separate categorized sections. Individual settings pages, such as those for RCS chats and SIM/country selection, are also being redesigned with new graphics and subdivided menus.
Android Authority writer Megan Ellis describes using Google's Results About You feature, which scans search results for a user's phone number, email, home address, and in some regions ID or Social Security numbers. When it finds a match, Google sends a notification and lets the user request removal of the listing, which Google says it will delete for all users if the request meets its criteria. The tool is accessed through the Google app's profile menu or a dedicated website.
