Apple's upcoming iPadOS 27.2 update will add a contextual Siri popup that appears when users select text with a trackpad or mouse, offering options like proofreading and rewriting suggestions. It will also bring user profiles to the Apple TV app on iPad, mirroring the feature already available on Apple TV 4K via tvOS.
Apple's System Status page listed eight active issues Tuesday evening, including Apple TV, App Store, Fitness+, Apple Music, Mac App Store and Subscription Purchase. Some apps also briefly showed internal localization text instead of normal interface labels shortly before the outages began.

The feature, previously limited to tvOS since December's tvOS 26.2 update, now lets parents create child profiles without an Apple Account and restrict content to age-appropriate ratings directly from a phone or iPad.
