Carney sets June target for EU-Canada 'associate member' deal

Prime Minister Mark Carney said he expects negotiations with the European Union to conclude in June on a new partnership that would make Canada the bloc's first associate member. The term was notably absent from the joint declaration announcing the broader economic and security alliance between Canada and the EU.
