OpenAI unveiled 'dots,' persistent AI agents powered by its GPT-6 Astra model that can connect to over 4,000 apps and integrate with ChatGPT, Slack or Teams to handle tasks. Users can start with one dot and build teams of dots working together, accessible via ChatGPT on desktop, web and mobile. The feature is rolling out first to Pro, Business Premium and Enterprise plans in select markets.
OpenAI introduced Dots at its Dev Day event, a new personal agent system built on GPT-6 Astra that runs continuously in the background to pursue user-defined goals with minimal supervision.
