GoKawiilBiograph-Caristo study finds coronary artery inflammation in 42.9% of low-risk adults
Biograph, a preventive health clinic, completed a U.S. study using Caristo Diagnostics' CaRi-Heart AI technology to assess coronary inflammation in asymptomatic, low-risk individuals. The study found elevated inflammation in 42.9% of participants, including 17.9% with very high inflammation, often in people with no detectable plaque buildup. Standard tests like cholesterol markers, HbA1c, hs-CRP, and the AHA PREVENT-ASCVD calculator showed no correlation with the inflammation findings.
