Block Blast reportedly uses server-downloaded 'traits' to shape pieces, scores and ad prompts
A technical write-up on ayoships.com says the mobile game Block Blast loads most of its logic from the server after install, not from the app package itself, using modular components called traits and arms that can be swapped remotely. The author says one install received 254 of roughly 700 available traits, with names suggesting they control difficulty, 'revive' prompts and ad timing, and cites Sensor Tower estimates that the game earned about $127 million in ad revenue between January and May 2026, versus $81.1 million for Candy Crush Saga.
