GoKawiilQubic resumes mainnet, opens fund recovery after $1.4M weak-seed theft
Qubic halted its network on October 18 after an attacker exploited predictable seed generation in its web wallet on certain Apple devices, draining about $1.4 million in QU tokens from 1,404 accounts. The chain resumed processing on October 19, and a day later the project opened a claims portal allowing verified owners to reclaim funds, with some already returned. Qubic has also released a patched wallet version and set a claim deadline of May 1, 2027.
