Scientists studying a bottlenose dolphin nicknamed Bubbles near Lady Elliott Island have documented it chasing bigeye trevally until the stressed fish regurgitate their stomach contents, which the dolphin then eats. The behavior, observed since at least 2017, is detailed in a new paper in Ecology and Evolution and is described as a rare form of kleptoparasitism among marine mammals.
