The New York Times has filed a lawsuit against Brave, maker of the Brave web browser, alleging the company's AI tools scrape its content and bypass paywalls without authorization. The suit reportedly centers on how Brave's AI features access and summarize Times articles.
The Browser Company confirmed it will sunset its Arc browser on December 22, after which users will lose access to their accounts. The company is migrating users to its new AI-powered browser, Dia, automatically transferring bookmarks, extensions, passwords and browsing history, while noting that Dia's AI features remain optional.
OpenJev is a browser-based experiment that runs a local AI model entirely on a user's own GPU, with no backend or waitlist required. It lets users compare how quickly a model can read probability scores for a set of allowed options versus generating the same distribution token by token, using models like MiniCPM5 2B or the lighter Qwen3 0.6B for smaller devices.
