GoKawiilStudy finds dinosaur fossils overrepresented in top journals like Nature and Science
A preprint by palaeontologist Bryan Gee analysed over 4,200 papers describing 8,331 new extinct species published since 2000 across 13 journals. The analysis found that dinosaurs and other 'charismatic' extinct species appear disproportionately often in high-profile journals such as Science and Nature compared with specialist publications like the Journal of Vertebrate Paleontology.
