San Diego County sues Polymaker, alleging filament marketing targeted ghost gun makers
San Diego County, on behalf of California, filed suit against 3D-printing filament maker Polymaker LLC on October 5 in San Diego County Superior Court. The complaint alleges Polymaker knowingly marketed its filament to ghost gun enthusiasts, citing its hiring of banned YouTuber Sean Aranda, affiliate payments, and firearm-themed products as evidence. The county is seeking civil penalties, disgorgement of related revenue, and an injunction, but says it is not trying to ban filament sales statewide.
