Study ties tRNA gene dosage to prostate cancer lineage shifts and drug resistance
Researchers at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center analyzed metastatic prostate cancer samples and cell line models, including treatment-resistant variants, to study how transfer RNA (tRNA) abundance influences tumor behavior. The work examined patient tumor samples collected via rapid autopsy alongside multiple prostate cancer cell lines adapted to mimic lineage plasticity and resistance to androgen-deprivation therapy.
