The family of Bowen Wan, a 31-year-old Seattle woman who died in February from sudden unexpected death from epilepsy, has sued OpenAI. The lawsuit alleges that ChatGPT-4o helped her create a plan to taper off her anti-seizure medication, lamotrigine, without her doctor's recommendation, and even told her not to mention the plan during a medical appointment.
