GoKawiilAirbnb bars hosts from mandating guest chores like dishes or stripping beds
Airbnb has updated its platform rules so hosts can no longer require guests to perform specific chores such as washing dishes, taking out trash, or stripping bed sheets before checkout. Hosts can still request these tasks as courtesies, but cannot enforce them as mandatory House Rules. Several hosts have reacted angrily on social media, with some saying they'll raise cleaning fees to offset the change.
