Google adds Gemini Notebook as Connected App in Gemini chat

Google has made Gemini Notebook, formerly known as NotebookLM, available as a Connected App within the Gemini chatbot. Users can type @Gemini Notebook or use natural prompts to create, edit, and manage notebooks, add or remove sources, and pull answers from notebook content without leaving the chat. The feature is rolling out to Workspace customers, Workspace Individual subscribers, and personal Google account users.

Gemini for macOS gains iMessage integration via new Connected App

Google is rolling out a new Connected App in the Gemini desktop client for Mac that lets the assistant read, search, and send iMessages using an @messages command. The feature appeared in version 1.116.5.889 under Settings > Connected Apps, though the server-side component isn't fully active yet, so the command isn't recognized in prompts as of now. This follows last week's launch of the Gemini app on Windows.
