GoKawiilResearcher tests Google Gemini's ability to spot fake Rhode lip tint packaging
A lab focused on counterfeit-detection tools tested whether a general-purpose AI model, Gemini 3.6 Flash, could distinguish real from fake Rhode Peptide Lip Tint using only photos of packaging. The researcher photographed authentic and counterfeit boxes and tubes, uploaded the images, and asked the model to judge authenticity and flag inconsistencies. The experiment was prompted by reports that Rhode's lip tint is a frequent target for counterfeiters sold on marketplaces like eBay, TikTok Shop, and Vinted.
