Anthropic unveils FlashProve, an open-source tool to verify which AI model generated an output

Anthropic published a blog post detailing FlashProve, an open-source system that provides cryptographic proof confirming which specific AI model produced a given output. The system relies on labs publishing a 'fingerprint' for each released model, which can later be matched to outputs and verified without exposing the model's underlying weights. Anthropic says verification can run locally and could also confirm third-party claims, such as that a cybersecurity scan was performed by a specific frontier model.

Noctua's NF-A4x10 fan cools CAIM1, a camera designed to cryptographically prove footage authenticity

Noctua has revealed that its NF-A4x10 5V PWM fan is being used inside the CAIM1, a compact 4K60 camera built to generate cryptographic proof that its footage is genuine and unaltered by AI. Because the device simultaneously handles high-bitrate video capture and cryptographic proof generation within a tightly enclosed shell, its processors run hot enough to need active cooling to avoid throttling.
