Tesla delivered more than 486,000 vehicles in the third quarter, up about 6,000 from the prior quarter and ahead of Wall Street forecasts. The figure still trails the 497,000 delivered a year earlier, when buyers rushed to beat an expiring U.S. tax credit, and U.S. deliveries were down nearly 20% year-over-year according to Cox Automotive.
Tesla delivered 486,532 vehicles in Q3 2025, down about 2.1% from the same period last year, while production rose 3.8% to 464,391 units. The decline follows the September 30 expiration of the $7,500 federal EV tax credit, which had driven a surge in sales a year earlier.
Saudi Arabian automaker Ceer revealed two angular EV concepts called the Exobot, a sedan and an SUV, both designed by former McLaren designer Rob Melville. The company says the vehicles will go on sale in Saudi Arabia in 2027, with plans to release five more models by 2030. The sedan features supercar-like proportions and gullwing doors, while the SUV has a boxy, high-clearance military-inspired design.
Tesla announced via its official X account that the next Roadster will finally be unveiled on October 10, nearly a decade after the original 2017 prototype debut. The company's website now shows a countdown teasing possible SpaceX-derived thruster hardware, following earlier reports that the car could include flight-like capabilities.
