GoKawiilTrump Announces 15-Month Closure of East Potomac Golf Course Amid Court Fight
President Trump posted plans to close the East Potomac Golf Course near the White House starting Nov. 15 for a 15-month redevelopment, saying it would become a world-class venue capable of hosting tournaments like the U.S. Open and Ryder Cup. The announcement comes despite a federal judge's order halting redevelopment work until at least Oct. 26, after the government removed trees at the site over a holiday weekend with minimal notice to the court or plaintiffs.
