OpenAI unveiled new ChatGPT features at its Dev Day conference, including Space, a shared workspace where coworkers and AI agent personas called Dots can collaborate on tasks; Pages, a document editor for writing and generating charts or images; and collaborative slides that can be created and edited by voice command with multiple users and agents. CEO Sam Altman demonstrated the tools during Tuesday's presentation in San Francisco.
OpenAI introduced Dots at its Dev Day event, a new personal agent system built on GPT-6 Astra that runs continuously in the background to pursue user-defined goals with minimal supervision. Available starting Tuesday to ChatGPT Pro and Business Premium subscribers in select markets, Dots can be launched from Codex or ChatGPT and messaged via Slack or Teams, with text support planned. OpenAI is also working with Microsoft to integrate Dots into Agent 365 security controls.

The company also unveiled a meeting-notes plugin, Slack and Microsoft Teams integrations, and document tools called Pages, alongside a data-protection system called Private Intelligence.
OpenAI unveiled updates at its Dev Day event that let developers build dedicated in-app experiences within ChatGPT using plugin extensions, giving third-party tools a spot in the sidebar and interactive panels including file viewers. The company also introduced a Plugin Creator tool, a redesigned submission process for its plugin directory, improved plugin ranking and recommendations, and support for the proposed MCP Events specification to trigger automations from connected apps.
OpenAI announced updates to its Codex coding agent at Dev Day, including reusable cloud development environments accessible from any device, a refreshed Codex CLI with voice-directed tasks, and a new code review experience inside the ChatGPT desktop app. The company also introduced Codex Security Cloud, a set of tools aimed at hardening infrastructure around Codex usage.
