GoKawiilPennsylvania law mandates disclosure labels on AI-generated advertisements
Governor Josh Shapiro signed the Artificial Intelligence Deceptive Advertising Act, requiring ads that are significantly modified or generated by AI to carry a disclosure label matching the ad's format. The rule covers any medium—video, audio, images or text—and applies to any ad expected to air in Pennsylvania, regardless of where it was produced. Exemptions exist for parody, satire, commentary and content that is 'evidently fictional.'
