Spotify experienced a widespread outage on September 29, 2026, with user reports on Downdetector peaking at over 19,000 complaints during the morning. By early afternoon, the number of reported issues had dropped sharply, though more than 1,000 users were still reporting problems as of 1:07 PM ET.
OpenAI confirmed an ongoing outage causing errors in ChatGPT's image generation and its Images API, along with failures and delays when users try to upload files. Hundreds of users reported the problems on DownDetector, and OpenAI says it is still assessing mitigation efforts as some requests continue to fail.
Thousands of X (formerly Twitter) users reported that Grok, the platform's AI chatbot, stopped working starting around 9:00 AM ET, according to Downdetector data. Affected users received an error message stating the model was unavailable and prompting them to try a different one. X has not issued any official statement addressing the outage.
