BBC's Blue Planet III leaves imperfections in footage to signal authenticity
BBC's upcoming nature series Blue Planet III will retain imperfect shots—including visible plankton, boats, buoys, and less-than-ideal water conditions—rather than editing them out as previous seasons did. Executive Producer Elizabeth White told The Guardian the production team chose to keep this footage to present a more authentic, unpolished view of ocean life.
