Superhuman has acquired Fathom, a Y Combinator-backed AI meeting notetaker that has attracted over 400,000 monthly active users since its 2020 founding. Rather than build its own notetaking tool from scratch after months of internal testing, Superhuman opted to purchase Fathom, which had raised more than $30 million and was valued at $94 million in 2024.
Ford VP Alan Clarke explained that after evaluating Apple, Google, and other mapping providers, the company chose Apple Maps for native integration in its upcoming Universal Electric Vehicle Platform, including the Fathom model. He cited Apple's flexibility, improved map quality, and close collaboration on EV-specific needs like range estimation and battery preconditioning as deciding factors.
GKids and Fathom Entertainment will screen two separate filmed stage productions of 'Spirited Away' as part of Studio Ghibli Fest 2026 in US theaters. The stage adaptation, originally produced in Japan, dramatizes Hayao Miyazaki's animated classic with live actors and theatrical staging.
