St. Lucie County, Florida finds 11 unpermitted Flock cameras, owners unknown

After St. Lucie County, Florida ordered removal of Flock license-plate cameras from local roads, police discovered 14 cameras operating without required permits. Eleven of those cameras have no identified owner, while the Sheriff's Office claimed the remaining three but declined to explain why it never obtained permits or whether it accessed the data collected.

Florida police use fake 3D-printed Flock cameras to catch and charge vandals

An Oviedo, Florida man, Evan Meyer, was charged with three felonies after cutting down and smashing what turned out to be a decoy Flock Safety camera. Police had installed the cheap 3D-printed replicas after real license-plate-reading cameras were stolen from a corridor between late July and early August, hoping to lure and catch vandals.
