A working Apple-1 computer known as the 'Hatfield' unit sold at a Bonhams online auction for $1,148,200, up from $686,000 when it last changed hands in 2013. The machine, named for original owner Fred Hatfield, includes a motherboard signed by Steve Wozniak and a letter signed by Steve Jobs offering to trade the Apple-1 for an Apple II after Hatfield complained about limited software.
