GoKawiilHugging Face releases open-source Carbon-X model for conversational DNA analysis
Hugging Face launched Carbon-X, an open-source AI model built with researchers from Zhongguancun Academy and the University of Naples Federico II that lets users ask natural-language questions about DNA and receive conversational answers about gene activity and health effects. The model is trained on genomic sequences paired with text and can run locally on a laptop, according to Hugging Face research scientist Lewis Tunstall.
