Director Takashi Yamazaki, whose second Godzilla film is currently playing in theaters, has expressed interest in making a sequel to 'Godzilla Minus Zero.' He noted that his next project will be a film called 'Grandgear,' suggesting any Godzilla follow-up would come after that.
At New York Comic Con, sound designer Natsuko Inoue and colleague Hisafumi Takeuchi described how they created Godzilla and King Ghidorah's screams for the film Godzilla Minus Zero by blasting speakers from atop an outdoor dam, startling nearby picnickers, walkers and at least one barking dog. The team also used analog foley techniques, such as flapping a rubber fisherman's suit, to generate Ghidorah's wing sounds.
Toho has released a full IMAX trailer for Godzilla Minus Zero, the sequel to Takashi Yamazaki's Oscar-winning Godzilla Minus One. The trailer includes a distinctive roar suggesting the three-headed monster King Ghidorah will appear alongside Godzilla in the new film.
