Google has released Playground through Google Labs, letting users type plain-language prompts to generate playable in-browser games, with options to refine designs or upload reference images, videos, or models. The tool builds on Google's practice of testing experimental AI products via Labs before wider release, and follows a similar game-generation feature Meta introduced in September called Horizon Create.
Google Labs unveiled Playground, a tool that lets users build browser-based games using text prompts instead of code. Users can pick a genre, choose 2D or 3D and single- or multiplayer modes, upload images for AI-generated assets, and publish finished games privately, via link, or to a public gallery with leaderboards. The platform is live for users 18+ in the U.S., with free token-limited access and higher limits for Google One AI subscribers.
Google is expanding its CC AI agent, previously a solo daily-briefing tool, into a household assistant that up to six family members can share information with via its own dedicated Google account. Members can forward emails, calendar invites, PDFs, receipts and images to CC, which compiles them into a shared Daily Brief covering upcoming events and to-dos. CC can also assist with chores such as filling out forms, building shopping lists and planning meals.
Google has introduced CC, an experimental Google Labs project that extends its Daily Brief concept to households of up to six people. Each family member can link a separate Google account to CC, choosing which emails, calendar events, or Drive files the assistant can access, and CC compiles a shared 'Your Day Ahead' email each morning summarizing schedules and tasks.
Google is rolling out an experimental Gemini feature called Device Help on Pixel 11 and Pixel 11 Pro phones, letting users troubleshoot issues like battery drain or Wi-Fi problems, adjust settings such as brightness or dark mode, and get explanations of Pixel features using plain language instead of navigating menus. The feature carries a 'Labs' tag, signaling it's still experimental, and Android Authority's hands-on testing found it worked well for some tasks but gave inconsistent guidance for others, such as Magic Capture instructions.
