Jaguar unveils Type 01 electric grand tourer with over 1,000 horsepower

Jaguar has revealed the Type 01, a production four-door electric grand tourer based on its divisive Type 00 concept. The car uses three motors producing up to 1,016 horsepower, a 118kWh battery rated for 400 miles of range, and fast charging that adds 200 miles in 13 minutes. Jaguar says orders open in early 2027 with deliveries later that year, and one variant will start at $130,500.

Jaguar has revealed the production version of its Type 01 grand tourer, retaining the prototype's low roofline, long hood and 23-inch wheels while adding extra doors and a softened front end. The all-electric car uses a tri-motor setup producing up to 1,030 PS and 1,365 Nm, reaching 62 mph in 3.2 seconds, and features an 850-volt architecture with a 118-kWh battery offering up to 400 miles of EPA range.
