Leaker says AMD's Zen 7 'Grimlock' APUs with RDNA 5+ won't arrive until 2029
Leaker Kepler_L2 claims AMD's next-generation Zen 7 'Grimlock' CPU cores, paired with enhanced RDNA 5+ graphics, won't reach consumer APUs until early 2029. Before that, AMD's RDNA 5 architecture is reportedly reserved exclusively for Sony's rumored handheld, codenamed Canis, expected around late 2027 alongside the PS6. OEM handhelds from companies like Microsoft, Valve, ASUS, or MSI will instead rely on the upcoming Ryzen Z3 series using Zen 6, Zen 5, and RDNA 4m until RDNA 5 trickles down.
