The Consensus open-sources noalloc, a Go tool to catch heap allocations
The Consensus has released noalloc, an open-source CLI and library for Go that lets developers mark functions as allocation-free and then checks the entire call tree for heap allocations. The tool reports the exact line and reason for any allocation it finds, supports exemptions for intentional cases, and ships with zero-allocation data structures including a JSON encoder/decoder. It requires Go 1.27 or later and is installable via 'go install'.
