Atomic raises $12.5M Series A for AI supply chain planning software

Atomic, a Boston-based startup founded by former Tesla employees, closed a $12.5 million Series A round led by Klass Capital and Madrona Venture Group, bringing total funding to over $15 million. The company builds AI software that simulates inventory scenarios and recommends or automates supply chain decisions, with customers including DoorDash and HelloFresh. Atomic also named longtime Tesla planning director Jeff Goodrich as CTO and third co-founder.

WIRED's multi-year review of Factor, HelloFresh's ready-to-heat meal delivery brand, found the food has notably improved since the 2020 acquisition, moving beyond simple protein-and-veggie trays to include flatbread pizzas, smoothies and juices. Meals cost roughly $13-17 per serving plus shipping, with plans ranging from four to 24 meals weekly and over 100 menu options including keto, high-protein and plant-based filters.
