GoKawiilFrigade launches Hob, open-source on-device AI alternative to ChatGPT
Frigade released Hob, a free, MIT-licensed desktop app that runs AI models locally on Mac, Windows, and Linux machines with at least 8GB of memory. The app automatically selects and configures an open-weight AI model suited to the user's hardware, enabling tasks like filling PDFs and working through documents offline without sending data to external servers.
