GoKawiilAirbnb limits what cleaning tasks hosts can require of guests, effective Nov. 20
Airbnb has updated its host policy to cap the cleanup chores hosts can demand before checkout, specifying that requests must be 'reasonable.' Stripping beds or doing laundry is now deemed excessive, while gathering used towels remains acceptable. The update also restricts hosts to seven standard rules plus listed notes, which must appear only in the listing and not be relayed via messages, signage, or in person after booking.
