GoKawiilopenSUSE Leap 16.1 adds immutable root filesystem option
openSUSE announced that version 16.1 of Leap, its stable distribution, will include an Immutable Mode featuring a read-only, transactionally updated root filesystem. The feature, described on the official openSUSE blog, brings capabilities previously exclusive to Leap Micro—a lightweight immutable OS for containers and edge devices—into the general-purpose Leap desktop distribution.
