Code found in the first beta shows users will be prompted with an alert offering to 'Move App Data and Settings' or 'Don't Move Anything,' with a follow-up warning if they decline.
Users running the iOS 27 beta have reported that Apple's Digital ID passport feature in the Wallet app suddenly disappears, disrupting airport check-in plans. The issue appears to be a software bug limited to the beta build, and affected users can fix it by re-adding their passport to the Wallet app.
Ahead of installing an iOS public beta, users are advised to make a computer-based backup rather than relying on iCloud, since iCloud automatically overwrites backups with newer beta versions. This can leave users unable to restore a stable iOS version if they need to downgrade. The recommended process involves connecting the iPhone to a Mac or PC, creating an encrypted local backup, and archiving it manually.
