Apple has released Release Candidate versions of iPadOS 27, watchOS 27, and other upcoming operating systems for developers and public beta testers. These builds, available now through Settings, represent the near-final software slated for public release to all users on Monday, September 14.
During its 'Surprise and Shine' event, Apple confirmed iPadOS 27 will launch on September 14, alongside unveiling the foldable iPhone Duo and iPhone 18 Pro models. The update brings a revamped Siri built on next-generation Apple Intelligence and Google's Gemini models, along with refined Liquid Glass visuals and performance upgrades to system apps.
Apple unveiled its first foldable device, the iPhone Duo, which brings iPad-style multitasking to the iPhone for the first time. The 7.6-inch inner display supports Split View for running two apps side by side, redesigned sidebars and menus for one-handed use, and an expanded home screen with room for more apps and larger widgets.
