Google DeepMind, Meta, Isomorphic Labs put $300M into Zuckerberg's Biohub 'virtual cell' project
Google DeepMind, Meta, and Isomorphic Labs are contributing $300 million to Biohub, the nonprofit biomedical research organization started by Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan, as part of a broader $1.8 billion push to build AI-driven biological datasets. The US Department of Energy plans to add over $500 million over five years, while the National Institutes of Health will supply existing datasets and repositories worth more than $500 million from past federal funding.
