GoKawiilPickleball franchisor The Picklr files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection
The Picklr, a fast-growing pickleball club franchisor, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in a Texas federal court. Founder Jorge Barragan says the company's holding firm had guaranteed lease payments for roughly 40 early franchise locations, leaving it overextended. The company reported a $4.4 million net loss on $10.3 million revenue in 2025 and about $19 million in liabilities as of March.
