Amazon refreshes Kindle lineup with aluminum models and page-turn button case
Amazon has released new versions of the base Kindle, Kindle Paperwhite, and Kindle Colorsoft, each a millimeter thinner and 30 percent faster at opening books, with power buttons relocated to the right edge. The devices now come in new colors and, for the first time, an optional aluminum build with double the storage (32GB vs 16GB) and no lockscreen ads, alongside a magnetic folio case featuring physical page-turn buttons. The base Kindle starts at $149.99, while the aluminum version costs $189.99, or $239.98 bundled with the new case.
