GoKawiilEA Closes BioWare Studio, Halts Next Mass Effect Game
Electronic Arts announced Wednesday it is shutting down BioWare, the 31-year-old studio behind Mass Effect, Dragon Age and Knights of the Old Republic. The closure includes roughly 50 layoffs at BioWare out of about 400 across EA, and EA confirmed it is ending development of the next Mass Effect title that had been teased back in 2020.
