Intel's upcoming Core Ultra 400-series 'Nova Lake' chips have begun appearing on official compliance lists required before launch. The USB Implementers Forum's Integrators List now includes a Nova Lake-H mobile processor certified for USB4 80Gbps, while a desktop Nova Lake-S chipset appears on both that list (certified for USB 3.2 Gen2 at 20Gbps) and PCI-SIG's PCIe Integrators List.
Actress Lili Reinhart has said she is having difficulty securing a producer for a lesbian vampire project she wants to make. Separately, the showrunner of the upcoming 'Crystal Lake' series has confirmed the show will include 'certain explanations' regarding the character Jason Voorhees.
Intel Foundry CTO Naga Chandrasekaran told KeyBanc that the upcoming 14A (1.4nm-class) process is expected to perform within 5% of TSMC's rival A14 node. The comparison did not specify whether 14A would be faster or slower than TSMC's node.
MapQuest has launched public transit directions in its iOS and Android apps, with web support coming soon. Durabook has launched the Z14I-DX3, a military-grade mobile workstation featuring a central 14-inch display flanked by two additional 14-inch sunlight-readable touchscreens that fold inward for transport. The unit weighs 9.8 kg and measures 5.4 inches thick when closed, far bulkier than the 3.6 kg single-screen version it's based on. It's built to MIL-STD-810H and MIL-STD-461G specifications and targets military, public safety, and industrial field users who need multiple displays at once.
A new open-source project called npunlock reconstructs a path for writing custom C kernels that run directly on the programmable SHAVE cores inside Intel's NPUs, bypassing Intel's official stack which only exposes graph-level programming. The project has been verified on Windows x64 with Meteor Lake and the NPU3720 chip, and its latest update adds support for combining independent FP32 and FP16 custom code branches within a single execution graph.
A growing cluster of leaks—including a partner slide detailing launch timing and platform specs, ASRock Z990 motherboards appearing in a shipping database, and SiSoftware listings for an HP EliteBook X with an unnamed Intel chip—point to Intel's next-generation Nova Lake processors nearing release. Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan has said the lineup will arrive in the second half of 2026, and executive Robert Hallock has called it one of the company's most important launches ever.
Tom's Hardware tested Acer's Swift Air 14, a $699 laptop built around an Intel Wildcat Lake chip that prioritizes connectivity and endurance over flashy design. The all-aluminum body houses Thunderbolt 4 ports and delivered over 16 hours of battery life in testing, though the lid and keyboard show some flex and the screen isn't especially bright.

This lake was the last known epishelf lake in the Canadian Arctic, formed by a rare balance of ice-shelf structure and layered water that has now been broken.

Leaker Jaykihn reports that Intel has cancelled a Nova Lake-S desktop chip variant pairing 4 P-cores, 8 E-cores, 4 LPE-cores with a 12 Xe3P integrated GPU. Instead, that high-graphics APU configuration is said to be delayed and reintroduced with Razor Lake, the architecture succeeding Nova Lake.
